Developed a license to defend against other organizations encompassing us under their license requirement.  Prevent cities and parishes from developing their own license requiring dealers to obtain multiple licenses with varying requirements.  The purpose was to defeat these moves and increase the professionalism of the alarm industry.  Some of the license requirements were background checks, education requirements and insurance coverage.  Set up four regions within the state with one state meeting per quarter, per region.  Gathered membership together with monthly regional meetings for sharing common problems, goals and idea.  Introduced association self-supporting, quarterly newsletter "LA News".  Louisiana hosted the 1994 National Burglar & Fire Alarm Convention in New Orleans.
